You’ve got to be kidding. How is the American government trying to make it seem like foreign cars are dangerous? Toyota screwed up. End of story. BMW and Mercedes still make great cars. Everybody knows that.

    FAIL
This isn’t a plot to get people to buy more cars, It is a screwup by Toyota. The fact that the pedal is American has nothing to do with it. The fact is that the pedal manufacturer or Toyota is to blame.

Wait, never mind….. Yeah, let’s just blame those Americans for every problem! Their government is trying to kill people just to sell more cars! Man, I should have realized this was part of the New World Order!

Think about what you say before you say it.

  4. RYwiccan says:

ITS NOT THE PEDAL!!! Its the computer. 57 people died last week due to toyota problems, some of them was fixed under the recall. Their you go saying america is at fault. Is Toyota and Japan ever at fault? You sound like the people from toyota! When people took their cars back to the dealership, and explained what was wrong, they blame the customer. Toyota needs to take responsibility for what they have done. Toyota has hidden the problem for years, what does that tell you? HINT: “Moving Foward”

  5. regentalcoing says:

It’s got nothing to do with if you want to buy american. Whats wrong though is how your goverment is brain washing the american public to think that foreign manufacturers are dangerous

How to throw the car into reverse with the car 100mph(160km/h)??
    Kidding??
It’s impossible to do that without god LoL
Yes, Smith you need God and Psychiatrist!!!

These accidents and problems are due to DRIVER’S HUMAN ERRORS and not mechanical failures.

Furthermore GM had recalled “9058″ cars which are many times higher than Toyota did(669).

In short, GM and govt have no choice but to go begging Toyota for money in the name of USA PROPAGANDA!!!!!

    Toyota should SUE for defamation!!!!!

@regentalcoing okay ill buy American plus am helping my country out……

  8. Elkarateka3 says:

@dayelbeny happened in japan too get facts right

  9. regentalcoing says:

Look if you have a fucking brain, use it, and you’ll link everything together. Toyota used an American pedal, so why don’t the rest of the world point to america for the deaths? If there were any? No one else in the world has died because of these problems. American car manufacturers have killed people in the past also…. so the bad press toyota are recieving is a ploy to get people to buy american, hence more money for the american Goverment

  10. It is wrong for Toyota that money comes first, safety ignored until they had no choice….

im going to buy ford now.

  13. Hummers222 says:

no, also in china and europe

  14. X2YeZCAMCNC says:

The problem is an electronic problem. A weak magnetic pulse from cell phone or road sensor will cause full throttle effect.
The hall effect sensor picks up magnetic road sensor pulse. Take a magnet and place it near your gas pedal and see what happens. There is a magnetic strip inside that sits in front of the sensor. The void is where they magnetize the tapered metal strips. The metal part they are putting in looks like it will shield the hall effect sensor.

  15. dodgechryslersucks says:

Something that is being completely overlooked is THAT CHRYSLER ALSO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM that has been happening for years. I have two videos on it and was just contacted by someone in a newer Dodge RAM that accelerated full throttle on its own and crashed into a pole. Chrysler won’t even investigate the issue!

  16. chichibud31 says:

guess we should all trade in our imports for domestics with their stellar build quality and dependability. so what, this is probabaly toyota’s biggest recall, ever. whereas this is a yearly occurrence for gm, ford and chrysler, from my experience…I know, I still drive my crappy Uplander..toyota still # 1

  17. dayelbeny says:

This happends especialy in the US! It’s because of poor assembly.

  18. thuderbay says:

I thought it was some sort of negative advertisement meant to damage Toyota’s reputation and boost the sales of domestic autos in the US,I got a Toyota with a million kilometers on it and it still runs great.

  19. fairhillnorrie says:

this is outrages.. people have DIED over this… should not have happened.. its a case of profit before peoples SAEFTY… whoever is responsible should get life..

Glad I bought a Nissan Altima, 270Hp 6 speed manual, love this so called “grocery getter”. I was told by many Nissan haters that I made a mistake and would have many problems by now, I have no problems with the car at all, except being careful not to get a speeding ticket. The Nav rocks and is very easy to use also.
