The US Transportation Department has now opened an investigation into brake problems in the Toyota Prius. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says they’ve received 124 reports from consumers complaining about the car’s brakes.

why is it title “Toyota Prius” whereas the concern is about the Avalon. In one case (Avalon) it is a hardware problem (sticky pedal), in the other (Prius) a software problem.

Check the news. A Toyota Prius in California just went out of control on the freeway- possible stuck accelerator issue.
