@raedls400 You are right, it’s just a big Witch Hunt! I’m really glad to see I wasn’t the only one that saw the car go into reverse then he takes his foot off the brakes. Let’s even pretend that the car did accellerate, then it would throw the man forward, his natural reaction would be to push what ever he was holding (the shifter) away (ie into park). He was just really pissed at the cop, you could tell by the cop’s words.

@mbtoocool Yeah, He must have done it on purpose! C’mon, he’s already stopped, he’s got his brakes on to shift out of Park, he would want to pull the shifter down to “Drive” not just to “Reverse”. He’s just so pissed off and wants to get out of getting a speeding ticket. He had no trouble pulling over for the cop in the first place! Now, I’m really impressed with the power the car had to climb all over the police car! That was great!

That looks like a 2002-06 camry and I didnt think those had the electronic throttles that seem to be the cause of all the problems with unintended acceleration. I think he did it on purpose. IMO

if I own one especially prius and/or other model, I could make a modification by installing a kill switch. as for prius, electric supply to the electric motor and engine must go through the kill switch so in case of anything went wrong, the driver can disable the car without killing the electrical component and reserve hydraulic system
