    all you have to do is put the car in nuertal that will disengage the tranmission how come the family that died didnt do this? if the car is going 80 miles and you disengage the transmission the car will slow down if anybody disagrees please let me know thanks

  8. I actually had this defect happen to me one day….I was about to chuck my small dog out the window because I thought the gas pedal was stuck but then reliazed it was the floor mat…luckily I was able to manually reach down and unstuck the mat….glad they are doing the recall..
