I have these in my car attached to an amp that my bass is on. Whenever the bass in my car hits these light up the entire car. Light is bright and a beautiful blue. I liked these lights so much i ordered 4 more.

LED lighting is quickly becomming the way of the future with white led devices and colored LEDs of nearly any wavelength desired. I used blue because in our house audio/visual control room during production we need to see to get around, but we avoid white light at all costs because it can be seen by the audience. Our old florescent tubes with a blue filter have now been replaced with ALL BLUE LED Grow Light Panel 225 LED 110 Volt,2501BU which screwed to the ceiling and gives a very direct blue glow on the workspace below, as well as these blue LED assemblies.

What makes these unique are two halves – first they use extra bright blue LEDs to begin with so they throw alot of light. The circuit board mounts 2 leds directed to the left, 2 leds to the right, and one straight ahead, which makes their light very directional inside our control room (keep in mind the control room has walls and ceiling painted BLACK so really there is no light comming out of it except what we spill – with LEDs we spill hardly any light now which means nobody is looking at that blue place at the back of the auditorium)

These use VERY little power (we have jacks on our mixer panels for 12V lighting that can run 10 of these little assemblies under the counter). They would work great for computers with open (lucite) covers to see the insides if done in a blue theme. DO NOT BE FOOLED – 5 blue LEDs put out quite a bit of light – 2 of these carefully glued inside a computer case will provide ample light.

Additionally, the seller on my order shipped USPS 2day fixed cost which they did not have to but it was appreciated as we were actively rennovating our a/v control room and these arrived on Saturday, allowing us to dim the house lights and switch to blue lighting inside our room come monday night’s show. With these stuck to the furniture above mixers and rackmount recorders, they offered a coordinated lighting scheme with virtually no spillage out of our window to the audience which was the desired effect.

Finally – just to reiterate – this is not that dim blue LED that first came on the market years ago – it’s bright as can be and hard to look directly into!

First, the kit comes with no instructions whatsoever. Go to www.ledglow.com, click on Tech Support, and find the instructions for your particular kit.

Second, the kit was designed assuming you want to connect to your fuse panel or directly to your car battery. They claim you can use your car cigarette lighter but as far as I can tell this requires a special adapter that isn’t provided and is not sold anywhere on Amazon.

i have a set of these in my truck. i have the inside of the glove box plexiglassed with the control pad inside. the wires are a little on the short side, so youll have to add wire on your own to run anything more than 2-3 foot away from your pad. but the lights are really bright and for the price i would suggest these to everybody… i will have pics up reall soon.

So, I have to admit, I felt pretty stupid after I had bought this item for my ford ranger, but hey, I was just rewarding myself. The product arrived on the estimated 4-7 business days (5) and I was pleased with what I could see. Installation was a bit tricky getting it through the dash, I had to drill a hole in the firewall. Also, this was the first time I’ve messed around with the wires in a car, but it’s pretty straightforward. I had to but extra 16 gauge wire because the wires weren’t long enough. The installation took me about 5 hours to get it completely finished. This kit was more than the 4 piece 7 color non-expandable kit, but because there are more lights, the tubes are longer, and the installation was easier because the lights could be disconnected, it was worth it. The lights worked quite well (Think about the interior color of the car before you buy this because mine is a gray interior and it seemed to “soak up” some of light, just a heads up). Also, the music sensor was REALLY disappointing, not at all what I was hoping for. The lights constantly flash, not to the beat of the music at all, the only thing that changes is the color. Also, the music sensor isn’t that strong, so you either have to have it right next to your speaker or have it play really loud. I never use this setting as it’s a huge distraction while driving, and I actually started getting a headache. Well, I hope this review helped you out.

I bought two of these kits, one for my wife’s 07 Kia Sedona and one for my 05 Nissan Titan. I have installed some pretty complex stereo systems and neons through the years, and I must say these are very simple and straight forward to install. I like the fact that they are as bright if not brighter than actual neons, yet there are no worries about breaking them as easily. These can be installed in under an hour without a problem. I am extremely anal retentive about hiding every inch of wire, so both my installs took around 2 hours each. I like the basic plug and play hook up of these. My only complaint is that the tube hook up wires have factory attached plugs, and come in pre set lengths (3ft and 9ft). This can be a bit of a pain depending on the vehicle you are puting them in. Hiding wires well takes more length. I used zip ties to install mine even though they come with little mouting brackets. The LEDs face one direction, so if they seem too bright, simply twist the tube a little to “turn down the volume” of the light. These are VERY bright, and the colors are pretty vivid. The music feature is a waste, some kits will fade, appearing to “bounce” to the music. These just flash at different rates. I really like the ability to purchase two more tubes, and simply plug them in to the existing box. Neons have to be individually wired, then run through a switch. I tapped into ignition controlled cigarette lighter outlets from behind on both apps. These use very little electricity, so there is no worry of popping fuses or overloading anything. Eliminating going through the firewall is always a plus. Using an ignition controlled power supply is a good idea so you dont inadvertantly forget to turn them off killing your battery. They will simply turn off when you turn the vehicle off. The control modual remembers your setting, and picks right back up when you restart the car/truck. Overall, a good buy, cheap yet effective.

Bought two of these for lighting the dash area of my car, The led’s are quite bright,but not overwelming,I believe they come in three colors,red,blue,and white. The outer case is plastic-chrome finish. The two connecting red and black wires come out from the top/edge of case and were plenty long for hookup.It does not come with a off and on switch,you have to add that yourself,or wire direct to come on with your dash lights.At a little more then six dollars apiece with shipping I found these to be a steal.
