the japanese company that makes the gas pedal used in japanese made toyota uses a metal bolt assembly while the american company that makes the gas pedal used in american made toyotas uses plastic parts.
japanese toyotas don’t have a gas pedal problem, and no recall.
@ :17 sec, it shows a cable operated throttle linkage.. AFAIK, this only affects electronic throttle controls (throttle by wire system). That’s B-Roll!
thats how all companies work man, not just toyota. if its cheaper and possible for them to settle off camera, they will. theyll only recall when settling is not a viable option
At least the Japanese are committed to making quality, reliable vehicles. Many Americans have abandoned the American auto manufacturers, because they don’t make good vehicles anymore. Thank the Unions that demanded more and more until Americans couldn’t afford to put enough money into the vehicle.
they wait till a whole bunch of people crash and that audio tape gets released to act like they care about a fatal problem they knew about and they knew would cost big and taint their image… hence, toyota gives a crap about you and your loved ones life. peace..

The lesson here to all car manufacturers is if something is not broke then don’t redesign it.
