2010 Volvo XC60 T6 AWD: I think we can remove the tape now

After heeding the warnings (and never really believing masking tape does one bit of good holding a windshield in place anyway), I went our favorite car wash and (gasp) removed the miraculous blue paper tape. But just before I sent it down the conveyor, I noticed something else wasn't quite right.

The door seal (on both sides) was out of its groove like this. It was easy enough to put right, but I'm wondering what the process is to install a new windshield that the shop had to pop both seals like this.

No leaks and on the prowl for gravel trucks without release of liability statements on painted on their tailgates.
