Only 5000 miles. Poorly manufactured valve spring caused this Lexus to idle rough leading to a no start condition. This vehicle needed a new intake valve and spring. Lucky no head or piston damage. 150 dollars in parts and approximate labor cost of $2000. Vehicle bought back from insurance company therefore didn’t qualify for dealer warranty.

@SudiArabia The owner complained of some engine noise and MIL indicating a misfire on that particular cylinder, was avoided until the engine could no longer run because of fuel flooding the engine, this engine has two fuel systems low and high pressure up to 600psi.
Maxseek… Enjoy the car, that car is lovely and sorry for that ‘issue’ bad luck; after that you will dream with the car… Sorry, don’t like the video.
Nice car.
Seriously, when you can’t get a valve spring right, you have real problems. How soon until the V6 Camry’s and Avalon’s have the same problem? Or the Tundra/Tacoma/Forerunner?

Had you noticed anything strange prior to the engine breakdown? Like noise, roughness, hesitation…. anything similar?

@mikeyducati No, and the warranty didn’t qualify because it was bought from an insurance company.
